Our Quilt Quest competition for this year is now closed, but we’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all who have taken the time to enter – the response has been simply overwhelming! Now we have the difficult task ahead of judging the finalists and notifying the lucky winners.

Be sure to keep your eye on the coming issues of Australian Patchwork & Quilting, Beautiful Country Crafts, Creating Country Threads, Simply Patchwork & Stitching and Handmade magazines as we look forward to sharing some of these fantastic new talents from our crafting community!

After the great success of our inaugural AP&Q AQC Quilt Challenge, the competition will be back again next year! The theme of the 2010 Challenge is Remember, with prizes awarded based on the interpretation of theme, excellence in design and craftsmanship.

Sponsored by Australian Patchwork & Quilting and Expertise Events Pty Ltd

First prize: $5000
Runner-up prize: $2000
Age 18 and under prize: $500

RULES AND ENTRY FORM

People from all around Australia have been moved by the tragedy of the Victorian bushfires, and we are asking crafters to dig deep to help our neighbouring stitchers down south.

Victorian Quilters Inc., Victoria's state quilting guild is organising distribution of quilts and sewing packs to bushfire survivors.
Please send quilts, or sewing packs consisting of fat quarters and general sewing supplies - being mindful that these good people won't have access to a sewing machine for some time - to:

It’s times like this that bring out the best in people and quilters truly are the best of the best!
